Tim Milsom
Tim is our Team Leader and Technical Officer in our Survey and Engineering department.
He is currently undertaking the Bachelor of Spatial Science through the University of Southern Queensland. Tim’s role involves detail surveys, engineering design for urban and rural subdivisions, tender and contract management and project management. He loves being a dad, has a contagious love of life and displays killer instinct as well as fox-like agility when on the Oztag field.
Anthony Kemp
With over 20 years under his surveying belt, Anthony's expertise includes engineering detail and construction set-out along with cadastral experience.
Having worked in Sydney and Western Australia, Anthony has valuable experience in high-rise set-out, detail surveys and geophysical surveys. His other competencies include construction set-out for road and earthworks, railways and site contamination works. Anthony digs a mean veggie patch and on days off you may find him getting up close and personal with the ocean.
Bill Gilchrist
Bill is our railway expert and we reckon what Bill doesn’t know about working on the railways really isn’t worth knowing! He holds rail protection officer qualifications and has vast experience in detailed engineering and construction support surveys and railway track designs. Where will you find Bill on his days off? Good chance on the railway, (miniature that is) or driving his much loved Willy.
Kate Rutter
She may be small in physique, but in the field Kate can swing a hammer and jump a fence with ease. Trained in AutoCAD drafting, Kate’s role includes the organisation of building/dwelling set-outs, dual occupancy subdivision management and liaison along with detail and concept plan drafting. Kate is currently undertaking a Diploma of Architectural Technology and with a flair for art and design relishes the chance to add a little colour. When Kate isn’t helping her husband on the farm, Kate enjoys painting – some of her artwork features on the walls of our Tamworth office.
Kelvin Tan
Kelvin's background is in manufacturing and quality improvement with over 10 years experience before moving to Australia in 1997. His first base was in Sydney, however Tamworth came onto the radar when they were travelling between Sydney and Brisbane visiting family and settled here to enjoy a better quality of life. Kelvin is currently studying through UNE Bach Eng/Technology majoring in Civil Engineering. Key interests (when time permits) is enjoying the lifestyle this region affords including gardening, bush walking and DIY renovations. Kelvin believes "Being in the present moment with a positive attitude creates our future". Good words to live by!
Gavin Coleman
Gavin joins the team as a Survey Field Assistant with over 33 years experience in the railways. Gavin enjoys the diversity his role provides and loves getting his hands dirty – whether it be in his veggie patch, cabinet making or fishing his golf ball out of the bunker.
Lachlan Smith
What do you get when you combine a love for the great outdoors and construction? A career in Surveying/Engineering! Lachlan is currently studying an Associate Degree in Spatial Science through the University of Southern Queensland. He lives by the motto of 'Life's short, so you'd better wake up each day and love what you do'. Described by his mates as outgoing, relaxed and honest, in his spare time Lachlan enjoys hitting the Rugby field and playing the drums.
